The melodic Mancunians first emerged in 1992, having played a series of gigs at Manchester’s In The City festival. The band have released four albums so far, ‘Puressence’ in April 1996, ‘Only Forever’ in August 1998, ‘Planet Helpless’ in 2002 and Don't Forget to remember in 2007. ‘Planet Helpless’ was hailed as the band’s greatest, with lead singer James stating that it was, “like 15-20 years of all the different facets of Manchester music, the acid house scene, the Roses, the Mondays, even Joy Division all rolled into the present day 2002.”
